Learn how cloud computing works and explore the main services available in Microsoft Azure. You will see how organisations run applications, store information, manage access, control costs and keep cloud resources secure.


New IT staff, support professionals, administrators and other learners who need to understand what Azure does before working with it in more depth.


General confidence using computers and workplace technology will be helpful but no previous cloud or Azure experience is required. 


You will learn how to:

  • Explain cloud computing and common cloud service models.
  • Recognise Azure's main computing, networking and storage services.
  • Understand how Azure accounts, resources and regions are organised.
  • Describe basic identity, access and security controls.
  • Understand tools for monitoring usage, managing costs and applying organisational rules.
  • Prepare for further Azure learning or the AZ-900 certification exam should you wish to take it. Note the exam is not part of the course and exam vouchers are purchased separately.
