MSP is specifically designed to address the most common challenges that organizations encounter when leading investments in change. It is designed to align programmes and projects to organizational strategy and to provide governance.

This combo is designed to cover both the Foundation and Practitioner certifications in just 5 days!


Project, programme, and business change managers that want to build on their knowledge of MSP, in order to practically apply the MSP framework to real life scenarios, providing the skills to lead and manage a programme. It is a must-have certification for both project and programme management professionals to deliver organizational value to their employers and boost their careers.

There are no pre-requisites to start and complete this combo as the learning pathway takes care of this.


The Foundation course is held over three days and includes the Foundation exam. You will learn how to successfully manage multiple projects and programmes. Through this course you will gain the theoretical knowledge of how to plan, manage and deliver a programme from start to finish. (The Practitioner course covers real life scenarios and helps you build your skills in leading and managing a programme).

The MSP 5th Edition course emphasises more flexibility, adaptability and responsiveness by adopting an incremental approach to the programme lifecycle, thus enabling organisational agility.

Foundation Exam:

  • Multiple choice questions
  • 60 questions per paper with one mark available per question
  • 36 marks required to pass (out of 60 marks available) - 60%
  • 60 minutes’ duration
  • Closed book.

The Practitioner course is held over two days and includes the Practitioner exam. It has a workshop style so that you learn how to apply the techniques and rules. You will review the MSP integrated framework and navigate the principles, themes and processes. You will learn how to analyse information and to then determine how the parts relate to one another and the MSP Framework.

Practitioner Exam:

  • Multiple choice questions
  • 58 questions per paper (including 6 matching questions worth 3 marks each), 70 marks available in total
  • 42 marks required to pass - 60%
  • Two-and-a-half hours’ duration
  • Open book exam.
