The DevOps Foundation® course provides an introduction to DevOps principles, practices and culture, showing how development, operations, security and business teams can work together more effectively. It covers key areas such as continuous delivery, automation, DevSecOps, cloud technologies, AI, performance measurement and organisational change.
Through practical examples and exercises, participants explore how DevOps can improve communication, streamline workflows, reduce risk and support faster, more reliable delivery of products and services. The course is suitable for both technical and non-technical professionals who want to understand the business value of DevOps and how it can be applied within an organisation.
The course is designed for a broad audience, enabling those on the business side to understand microservices and containers. Those on the technical side will obtain an understanding as to the business value of DevOps to reduce cost (15-25% overall IT cost reduction) with increased quality (50-70% reduction in change failure rate) and agility (up to 90% reduction in provision and deployment time) to support business objectives in support of digital transformation initiatives
There are no formal prerequisites for the DevOps Foundation® course but familiarity with IT terminology and IT related work experience are recommended.
