Overview
A head-first jump into using this advanced video editing suite. Adobe Premiere is a tool that compiles video footage together with digital video camera content and image stills. In this 1-day course, you will use Adobe Premiere to construct completed video footage for output into multiple file types.
Please note you will need to bring your own Creative Cloud login.

What you'll learn
At the end of this course, students will be familiar with creating projects and sequences, editing, using the Premiere interface, utilising stills, effects transitions, titles and credits, adding audio, compositing files and exporting video.

Creating New Projects
Creating a new project in Adobe Premiere Pro and Configure essential project settings such as resolution, frame rate, and scratch disks.
Setting Up for Optimal Workflow
Customize and save your workspace layout, Configure Preferences for optimal performance. Using and modify keyboard shortcuts for efficient editing. Manage general settings, such as auto-save and cache.
Key Panels and Organizing Media
Understand the purpose and functionality of key panels in Premiere Pro. How to Navigate and organize the Timeline, Source Monitor, and Project Panel efficiently.
Assembling a Sequence
Understand sequences and timelines, adding and arranging clips on the Timeline and using basic Timeline tools.
Editing Clips in a Sequence
Learn to edit clips efficiently using the Selection, Razor, Ripple, Rolling, Slip, Slide, and Rate Stretch tools.
Keyframing
Learn how to animate effects and text using keyframing.
Applying Effects and Transitions
Learn how to apply and customise effects and transitions.
Compositing Video Files
Understand the fundamentals of video compositing and its application. Use Masking, Green Screen Effects.
Masking
Creating, assigning, tracking, and refining vector and AI-based masks in Adobe Premiere 2026, including Unassigned Masks and applying masks to Opacity or effects.
Text Overlays
Learn how to create and animate Text Overlays.
Colour Grading
Understand the basics of colour grading including the use of LUTs (Colour Look Up Tables).
