Introduction to Visio
What is Visio?

The New Interface
Navigate and explore the new fluent user interface including The Quick Access Toolbar, The Ribbon, Contextual Tabs and Backstage View.

Using Visio
Navigate, explore and recognise and layout particularly how add and use stencils. How to add pages, name pages and filing conventions.

Diagram Construction
How to add shapes, connectors and text to shapes on the drawing page. Formatting the shapes, lines and text. Adding guides, rulers, and grids so objects are neatly laid out.

Introduction to Flowcharting
Backgrounding flow charting to be aware that there are standards and conventions with flow charting.

Explore and use built in tools to effectively and quickly use Visio.

Printing and Page setup
Methods of presenting charts and how to print multiple page sizes to fit on A4.

Background Pages
Create background pages to ensure consistency.

Linking Diagrams
Linking a shape to another page or diagram and double click linking.

Custom Properties
Enter values in a shapes custom properties.

Creating a template.

Printing & Sharing
Printing your diagram, saving as a PDF and saving to a SharePoint library.

Practical Applications
