Course attendees must have a thorough understanding of how to create a presentation or have used the features covered in our PowerPoint: Essential Skills course, in particular the Master Slides. File handling skills as covered in our Windows: Managing Files course would also be an advantage.

At Course Completion

This full day hands-on training course covers the importing of features from a wide variety of other applications. Our aim is to widen and fine-tune your skills in order to create effective, sophisticated presentations using your full potential. Due to the number of new features available, this course is specifically for users of PowerPoint 2013.

Course Outline

A brief overview of PowerPoint Essential Skills to ensure the prerequisite skills have been reached.

Customising your Templates
Creating your own templates and modifying Themes. How to change the defaults for colours, text and objects.

Connecting with other Applications
Work with PowerPoint, Word and Excel. Transfer text outlines between Word and PowerPoint. Take Excel charts/spreadsheets and link to PowerPoint. Import Slides from existing presentations

Organisation Charts/Diagrams/Tables
Using Smart Art to create Organisation Charts, Process Diagrams and Flow Charts. All Tables and learn how to format and add components more efficiently.

Adding Multimedia
Enhance your presentations by including WordArt, Music, Movies and Sound. Create interactive user buttons to navigate the presentation. Add a Photo Album of pictures.

Presentation Tips
Checking Spelling and Style before the presentation. How to check presentations before presenting. What to do while presenting and finalise the presentation for distribution.
