About this Course

This 5 day course includes both the PRINCE2® Foundation and PRINCE2® Practitioner courses combined.

PRINCE2 is a process-based approach for project management, providing an easily tailored and scalable method for the management of all types of projects, across industries, both locally and internationally. The continued international development of PRINCE2 examinations, training and course material is contributing significantly to the recognition of PRINCE2, as a truly relevant and international project management standard.

Prerequisites

Participants should:

  • be Project Managers or Team Leaders or have had involvement in a project environment
  • ideally have completed a project management fundamentals course
  • have approximately 12 months project involvement/experience

In order for students to progress to days 4 and 5 of this combo course, they must have completed
and passed the PRINCE2 Foundation Exam, held on day 3 of the course. Should a student not
pass the exam, they will be able to re-schedule days 4 & 5 of the course after they have passed the
PRINCE2 Foundation Exam.

PRINCE2 Certification and Examination
FOUNDATION:
By completing the Foundation course, the participant will have sufficient knowledge to sit the APMG
PRINCE2 Foundation Examination. The exam is run on day 3 of the course and results are made
available immediately after the exam. Students who pass this exam are then able to attend the

PRINCE2 Practitioner course.


The PRINCE2 Foundation Examination is:

  • One hour duration
  • 75 multiple choice questions
  • 38 correct answers are required to pass
  • Closed book

The PRINCE2 Practitioner Examination is:

  • Two and a half (2.5) hour duration
  • 8 questions
  • Each of the 8 questions are worth a total of 10 marks each
  • A pass mark of 55% is required
  • Open book exam (official PRINCE2 manual only)

Module 2: PRINCE2 Practitioner Preparation Course & Exam (2 days)
The PRINCE2 Practitioner Level Course is designed to provide the in-depth knowledge and understanding necessary to ensure you are able to apply PRINCE2 to the running and managing of a project within an environment supporting PRINCE2. To this end, Participants need to exhibit the competence required for the Foundation qualification, and show that they can apply and tune PRINCE2 to address the needs and problems of a specific project scenario.

The course comprises an intensive 2-day format of lectures, workshops and exercises. The Practitioner exam is held at the end of Day 2.
